Hi Everyone,

This is an update and announcement to let you know that I've moved Zero Day from Substack to Ghost. The migration took a couple of months to complete, and I still have some design tweaks I need to do to the new site and some kinks to work out (some readers have complained about emails going into spam and some have reported links not working). In the meantime, I wanted to explain why I've been silent for a bit as things go through this re-organization.

A couple of people have asked why I made the move. I had been thinking about it for a while because Substack doesn't have a lot of flexibility in layout. All publications look pretty much the same with a flat design showing a column of posts. But then Substack made some decisions that made it harder to support their business, which prompted a quicker move than I might have done otherwise. I didn't want to be on a platform where hatred and bigotry is tacitly supported, and I didn't want subscribers to feel that in continuing to read Zero Day they were supporting those views as well. I'm not convinced, as some are, that the solution is for Substack to ban such content; but in the absence of a better solution, I decided to just move.

Zero Day will continue to publish the kind of content it has done before, but I also hope to publish some long-form content in the near future. I'm working on a couple of things now that, if I can figure out how to make them work on this platform, I will publish here.

In the meantime, thank you for continuing to support my work. And if you have any feedback for me, complaints about the site or story tips, please reach out to me at: countdowntozeroday@gmail.com.
